Privacy Policy
Short version: Culla doesn't collect any data. Your photos and everything about them stay on your Mac.
Effective 2 October 2026.
What Culla collects
Nothing. Culla has no account, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. The app doesn't connect to the internet at all, so nothing about you, your photos or how you use the app is sent to us or to anyone else.
What stays on your Mac
To work, Culla keeps a small amount of information locally, inside its sandboxed app container on your Mac:
- Your settings, such as appearance, layout and keyboard shortcuts.
- Your list of recent projects, including the macOS permission (a security-scoped bookmark) that lets Culla reopen a card or folder you chose without asking again.
This information never leaves your Mac. Removing a project from Recent Projects, or deleting the app, removes it.
Your photos
Culla only reads files inside the cards, disks and folders you open, and only moves files within them — into the _Culla_Rejected and _Culla_Favorites folders, and back when you restore. Photos are never uploaded, copied elsewhere or deleted by Culla.
Purchases
Culla is sold through the Mac App Store. Payment and download are handled by Apple under Apple's Privacy Policy; we don't receive your payment details. Apple may share aggregated, anonymous sales and usage statistics with developers, and crash reports only if you've chosen to share them with app developers in macOS settings.
When you contact us
If you email us, we use your email address and whatever you include in the message only to reply to you. We don't add you to mailing lists or share your message with anyone.
Children
Culla doesn't collect personal data from anyone, including children.
